A Guide To Improving Search Engine Ranking
When we are talking about page ranking, you want to create as many pages as you can and at the same time have each page high quality. When you start off a page the page ranking is zero. What you want to do is to get some sort of number ranking for each page by doing the SEO training. You want to set up a website the right way and this is how I go about doing that.
I first do my keyword research, and then I will select some of the keywords related to my main keyword to use for my site. Search engines show sites that are well known and related to what you’re searching for. They take a look at what links you have that go back to your website.
If you just have a bunch of stuff on your website that isn’t related to each other, your site won’t rank well. You have to put out quality. I will select 6 to 12 keywords that I will use for my categories.
The first thing I do is I test the market. I need to see if there is traffic for the item that I plan to sell. The thing about testing is this; you want to use the least amount of financial resources as possible. So set up a pay per click ad campaign.
When you put the articles up on your website, you want to make sure you have all the information in your meta tags. You can use the H1 tag to anchor one of your keywords. Next what you will want to do is to create some sort of a site map and link that page to all of your other pages. If you’re doing a blog, make sure you are tagging the right way.
I think it is disappointing to see what search engines do with the no follow tag. Basically no search engine ranking will be passed down to other pages it links to. So you get no page ranking value.
The task that is the most important is for you to get up some good content and start to get those pages indexed into the search engines. You do this by getting backlinks to your website. There are also social bookmarking, RSS submissions and you can use other pieces of software to help you will quality backlinks.
I think all websites should have a blog. Go back to your keywords that you researched and pick some up for the categories. Use the same keywords for the title in your articles. Now get as many backlinks to that page as possible.
What you want to do is to create some kind of a plan that will give you steady backlinks. The value at first will be very low. That is about it in reference to getting your web pages indexed so that you will begin to develop a good page ranking.
