I bet you, like many eBayer’s don’t realise the importance of item pricing and some don’t even recognise the need for pricing at all, with eBay being an auction site they think why bother, but as we all know an eBay auction is nothing like any ordinary offline auction, where they maybe 20/30 people in a room waving their hand in the air indicating their bid. So in fact one should spend a little time and effort on setting the right price for any item you may have for sale. As you may already know there are three prices of which you can set when listing and item for eBay selling, these are as follows, the [buy it now], the [reserve] and the [starting price].
But many of these eBay entrepreneurs are leaping in with both feet without thinking, this of course is dangerous in any kind of business venture, so the sane thing to do if you want to make money on eBay is to take a step back and slow down a little. In fact the best thing to do would be stop and think very carefully about your strategy and how you are going to set up and run you new eBay money making Internet business, the worst thing you could do is rush in blindfolded. Take your time to get it right.
Did you know that eBay has well over 114 million members word wide? Just think about that huge number for a while, that’s a phenomenal amount of eBayer’s don’t you think? And when you have your eBay money making business up and running you will instantly have 114 million customers.
That’s 114 million eBayer’s sat eagerly with their credit card in hand waiting to buy something from somebody so why shouldn’t that somebody be you? The answer to that is, the 114 million ebayer’s don’t know you even exist yet. Actually, no matter how many eBay auctions you have or how many products you sell 114 million is a very big number and most of them will never know who you are, which will not effect how successful you are in the slightest anyway. Even the most successful eBayer’s are not know by everyone, but they do have one thing in common which is they all started out as buyer’s themselves which is what I recommend you should do too. This will help you understand how things work on eBay and how it all works and feels from the buyer’s perspective.
Which leads us to the buy it now price, which means if someone thinks your item is worth what your buy it now price is they can buy it there and then without having to wait until the end of the auction.
For most eBay auctions this option can be used, and should obviously be set to around the price for which you would be willing to sell your item for, again this is common sense. This is also a great option if you are selling more than one of the same product. When setting your price you should also take into consideration the shipping cost because potential bidder most certainly will as the buyer usually pays for shipping.
So be very aware when researching products to sell on eBay. eBay have many resources and information for sellers to use as guidelines, they also have tutorials for sellers which you really ought to check out.
The next step you will want to take after consumer research buying experience is read up on all the free sellers information that eBay provides you will be able to take a lot from this information to help you get your internet marketing business up and running making you some money I know time. before you start any eBay auction, be sure you took full advantage of all the free information by doing so you will avoid making costly mistakes that so many ebayer’s have made and are still making. By learning the lessons the eBay provides you will have taken a huge step towards you Internet marketing business success. and you should know everything you need to know to get your eBay money making business started. Good luck…
