BlogKits wants to help you monetize your low traffic blog

BlogKits is a new affiliate marketing network that launched a week ago. BlogKits is Jim Kukral’s brainchild and it is funded and owned by Forge Corporation.
BlogKits uses a CPA model and it is specifically designed to help bloggers monetize low traffic blogs. Most blogs generate less than 100 pageviews a day; Jim believes that such blogs cannot hope to make any money from contextual pay per click (PPC) advertising such as AdSense. This is of course a correct statement since on average the click-through rate (CTR) on contextual advertising is around 1%. Such a low CTR equates with just a few dollars per month in revenue.
BlogKits presents ads in your blog asking readers for financial support by purchasing the advertised product. This basically seems to be the only innovation BlogKits brings to the affiliate marketing game. I am not particularly convinced that this will work better than PPC advertising but I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked better than other affiliate marketing ads.
BlogKits has definitely lined up a number of valuable advertisers including PayPal, Travelocity, Startbucks, Buy.com, eBay, etc. The service is still new and a number of bloggers are testing it to verify the founder’s claims. Only time will tell if BlogKits have that extra something that will make it one of the leaders in affiliate marketing.
