Digg gets a facelift

This morning, Digg received an update both on the site’s layout and content. The navigation menu has now been moved to the top of the screen and presented horizontally. In addition, users can now see the top 10 stories and videos to the right of the page. Digg has also moved from a fixed width layout to a more flexible one that takes advantage of extra real-estate space for users viewing the site at high resolutions.
In addition, Digg has made two content changes. First and most important, users can now Digg their favorite Podcasts, including individual episodes. In terms of the video section, users now can watch on-Digg video previews. The video preview doesn’t work for all videos but only for the most popular ones with an open source API such as YouTube and Metacafe and Google Video.
